Taste of Atlanta is a 2-day festival at Technology Square that attracts food lovers from throughout Atlanta, the Southeast and beyond to enjoy tastes from more than 80 restaurants from all over the Atlanta Metropolitan area.  Guests can sample delicious dishes, sip robust wines and beers, be entertained by demos from local and celebrity chefs, and enjoy interactive sponsor experiences and family-friendly entertainment, while uncovering the incredible dining treasures the city has to offer.

 Flavors’ food editor, Shelley Sawyer and her son, Samuel, will be participating in the Taste of Atlanta’s Top Chef Kids Cooking Competition on Saturday, October 22 at 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the Family Food Zone Cooking Stage. There will be 3 kids + chef/parents competing. A secret ingredient will be given out this Friday. Come and cheer them on!

The event hosted by Aqua Vino will raise funds to support animal care, research and veterinary training through the Corell Center for Aquatic Animal Health. The wine tasting will feature more than 200 fine wines from around the globe, gourmet fare from some of Atlanta’s premier restaurants, and a live auction. For the 6th year in a row Ray’s Restaurants will be sponsoring ‘The Derek Rackley 10th Annual ‘Fore the Kids” Golf Classic’ benefitting Fragile Kids Foundation and the RACK foundation. Fragile Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides medical equipment and items that enhance the quality of life for Georgia children living with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy and other chronic challenges. The sixth Annual Field of Greens festival will return to Whippoorwill Hollow Organic Farm on Sunday, October the 2nd from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Chef Ron Eyester of Rosebud and The Family Dog partially hosts this event that exhibits chef-prepared food grown locally. This fun, family-friendly event features the festival market, where 60 food artisans, green living organizations and live craft exhibitors will demonstrate their artistry. The Chef’s Tent will showcase 30 of Atlanta and Athen’s finest farm-to-table restaurants with chef-prepared tastings of favorite menu items. A new feature of the festival will include the F’n’ Chef Competition, an Iron Chef-style competition with three local chefs and judged by local food celebrities.
